Causes that really matter to Women from the far West
We, Women from the far West have established a campaign for refugee women to assist them with their asylum-seeking cases in the UK. Women from the far West put refugee women in touch with legal practitioners that can help them conduct their cases. WFFWO has organized several petition campaigns against deportation for our members and individuals within the community with change.org.
As women activists, we are educating our members and the community in general about women’s rights and human rights regarding immigration. By collaborating and interacting with various women’s organizations in countries like Rwanda, Sudan and Ukraine we also hope to benefit from their experiences after wars and massacres.
In the future, we anticipate working to produce settlement and stability to change women’s lives for the better. We aim to emphasise the importance of peace to create better conditions for women and their families.
The services we provide are home visits, filling application forms, budgeting, facilitating food and hygiene training courses, counselling, and physical exercises such as souaka dance, yoga and meditation.
